Verizon, Boost Mobile, PagePlus, Total Wirless are the most popular CDMA cell phone providers.

Companies that use GSM:

AT&T, T-Mobile, Net10, SimpleMobile, Redpocket, Telcel America. Cell phones that run on the GSM technology use Sim cards. This is not to be confused with the 4G LTE cards that Verizon phones are using now.
